Applicants who want to study at a German university or college must prove a good knowledge of German language. In order to be able to follow a lecture in an technical- scientific or an economic course of studies, one needs above all a competent knowledge of technical terms which are expected by the universities as being familiar and which are used in lectures, seminars and tutorials.

In order to prepare university applicants for the later linguistic study requirements, the Eduard-von-Hallberger- Institute offers special courses with technical language lessons and subject teaching in maths, physics, electrical engineering, informatics or business and national economics. With the help of Power-Point-Presentations German terms are elucidated clearly and memorably in the subject-specific context so that the participants can quickly get used to the usage of German in their subject .  

The applications are practiced by many illustrative exercises. In accompanying practical experiments the participants learn to solve practical tasks and further to draft technical-scientific protocols, which are also required at universities and colleges.
